It all started with a single piece of fabric ...

Hello, I'm Elle, the Founder of Valkyrja . In 2019 I had a small business idea: sewing and selling custom scrunchies for the sports teams and athletes that I coached.

But during the early months of 2020 - while the we all got to spend some serious time at home (thanks to COVID) - online shopping exploded and people had the time and want to support small, local brands - and mine exploded with popularity.

As a Personal Trainer and Coach I was out of work and had plenty of time to sew and create. It was no longer a side hustle - it became my main source of income while the world was completely shut down.

By the end of 2022 I had hand sewn, as well as created custom fabric patterns for thousands of scrunchies and I was ready to try my hand at designing something I always wanted - my own activewear brand.

As a trainer, coach and athlete I know what works when it comes to activewear. And as someone who has worked in fashion and marketing industries for 10+ years before become a Personal Trainer, I had the experience and knowledge to navigate the world of design and manufacturing.

So with every cent I had left from those handmade scrunchies I got to work and created VALKYRJA.

So this brand is a small buisness, run by a passionate Founder, who has proven that great things can come from small beginnings - even a tiny strip of fabric.

So, what is Valkyrja?

Val-keh-ri-ya (noun), Old Norse: a warrior woman, sent to the battlefields to determine victors.

The Valkyrie or Valkyrja is the personification of female strength, power and resilience - the ability to be your authentic self and achieve any goal you set your mind to.

Valkyrja Activewear is an Australian owned and operated brand that prides itself on being dedicated to seek and attract like minded people - authentic hard workers, the dreamers and the do-ers. People like you.
